Biology is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, evolution, distribution, and taxonomy. The term biology is derived from the Greek word  bios, "life" and the suffix  -logia, "study of." Modern biology is a vast and eclectic field, composed of many branches and subdisciplines. Here I am providing a list of some facts in biology-2.

1. Ostrich is the largest living bird.

2. Python is the largest snake.

3. Gorilla is the largest monkey.

4. Humming bird is the smallest bird.

5. Shrew is the smallest mammal.

6. Ostrich’s  egg is the largest egg.

7. Spine tailed Swift is the fastest flying bird.

8. Echidna and Duckbilled Platypus  are egg lying mammals.

9. Giraffe is the tallest mammal.

10.Heart is the busiest human organ.

11.There are approx. 50 lakhs hair in the body of human.

12.In the initial stage of formation of placenta, H.C.G. hormones flow at a large quantity and excreted through urine. At this time in the testing of urine due to presence of this hormone pregnancy test is carried out.

13.The heart beat of the child is more than that of an adult.

14.A single respiration is complete in 5 seconds i.e. 2 seconds of inspiration and 3 seconds expiration.

15.Everyday blood in the body of human carries approx. 350 liters of oxygen to the cells of the body.

16.The strongest part of the body is the enamel of the teeth.

17.The sex determination of human depends on male chromosomes not on female chromosomes.
